Lack of any of the following may result in a 10% deduction on the assignment per shortcoming.
PREPARED IN ADVANCE: Assignments must be prepared for submission in advance of coming to class.
PREPARED USING A COMPUTER: Final versions of assignments:
1. Must be prepared using a computer (unless explicit instruction to used handwriting have been given)
2. Must be printed on 8.27 x 11.69 in. (A4) paper
STAPLED AND IN ORDER: All pages for an assignment must be:
1. Stapled together (not paper clipped)
2. In the correct order; i.e., in the order they were prepared, printed or otherwise specified in the problem or case.
3. Stapled separately from other assignments, cases or large problems turned in at the same time.
4. Cover page: Use different color for each assignment.
E.g.:
a. Lab Assignment 1&2: Red
b. Lab Assignment 3&4: Blue
c. Lab Assignment 5&6: Yellow
d. Lab Assignment 7&8: Green
e. Lab Assignment 9&10: Orange
f. Lab Assignment 11&12: Pink
g. Lab Assignment 13&14: Purple
h. Lab Assignment 15&16: Grey
PROPER IDENTIFICATION OF ASSIGNMENTS: Printouts must be properly labeled and identified so as to eliminate or minimize ambiguity regarding what is turned in.
1. Assignment identification must be located at the center of the first page of printouts for an assignment, problem, case, etc.
2. Should include KPTM’s logo.
3. Using Font Type of ARIAL
4. Assignment identification must include the following:
a. Subject name and Code
b. Your name
c. Your IC/ID number
d. Course and semester (E.g.: DCSN 4A)
e. Problem or case number (include TITLE of the assignment). See the Cover Page Requirements.
f. Due Date
g. Lecturer name
MULTIPLE ASSIGNMENTS SUBMITTED AT SAME TIME: When multiple assignments are turned in at the same time, the following must be done:
1. Each assignment must be stapled separately
2. Each assignment must be properly labeled and identified (see above)
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Assignments that are prepared in a neat and organized fashion following the instruction above are well received.
2. Points will be deducted for assignments, which do not follow the instructions above.
3. Assignments that are ill prepared, disorganized or sloppily prepared may be returned un-graded and marked late as if they had not been turned in.
